Fixed GameBoy Advance Flash Card

2016

This game cartridge has several types of memory for different uses, but saved game states rely on a 4MB SRAM chip which must be powered by a battery to retain data. The battery that came with cartriage needed to be replaced by a CR1220 battery, which required that I re-solder the connectors to ensure the battery stayed in place, completing the circuit.

Repaired Nintendo 64 Memory Card

2013

This Nintendo 64 memory card is considered to be a larger model for its time, where most of the official cards were limited to 256MB in size. This card was acquired from Cash Converters in 2013 for $3, but the battery powering the SRAM chip had long since failed, and was unable to retain data. I repaired the card by replacing the CR2032 battery with a new one, and resoldered the connectors that complete the circuit.

Repaired USB Flash Drive
